Della is an ethical fashion brand that is based in Ghana, West Africa. The brand is a collaborative effort between two partners; Tina Tangalakis (USA) and Nii Addotey (Ghana). Tina studied Costume design at California Institute of Arts and had experience working in the film and television industry. It was on a trip to Ghana doing volunteer work that she became captivated with the culture of Ghana.
The brand has its focus on empowering women in the community of Hohoe, Volta Region. They hire and train women who do all the work in dying fabrics and sewing the garments and accessories sold worldwide. Della has partnered with global companies including Vans, Apple and Urban Outfitters to create product sold both online and in-stores.
