Accra Fashion Week

That time of year has come again, Accra Fashion Week.  When some of Ghana's design talent showcase their upcoming collections for the year.

As Ghana celebrates the 'year of return' and many visitors from the diaspora are in town, this is the perfect time for the country's design talent to show their best work and possibly develop relationships with potential international customers.

The event this year kicks off with The State of African Fashion Conference on Thursday 28th March.  This is an opportunity to explore where the African fashion industry is today.  The world has finally taken notice of what fashion from the continent contributes to culture and style.  This important conversation dives into where the industry is as a whole and how we can connect to those in the diaspora including Caribbeans and how we can made African fashion more international from a business standpoint.

On Friday the events take attendees to the FashionGhana Awards, honouring the best in Ghana's fashion industry. Runway shows will take place on the weekend March 30-31 with designers from Ghana, Congo, Togo and beyond showing their collections.
